Plagiarism Policy
Authors must acknowledge issues related to plagiarism; therefore, submitted manuscripts must be free from any form of plagiarism. Authors are expected to check for plagiarism using similarity checking tools. Before publication in the journal, each article will be re-checked by the editor using Turnitin to detect similarity, with a maximum similarity policy of 25%.
Note to Authors:
Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam will assess each case of plagiarism based on its severity. If minor plagiarism is detected—whether by the editor, peer reviewers, or editorial staff at any stage before publication (whether pre- or post-acceptance, during editing, or at the proofreading stage)—we will inform the author and request that the text or quotation be properly rewritten and the original source cited. If significant plagiarism is identified—i.e., if at least 25% of the original submission is plagiarized—the article may be rejected, and the author’s institution or company may be notified. Therefore, we strongly recommend that authors thoroughly check their manuscripts before submitting them to our journal for publication.
We urge authors to use:
Plagiarism Detection Software:
Authors are advised to use plagiarism detection tools as a first step before submission, even though such tools are not entirely reliable.
Plagiarism Declaration:
Each author of Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam is required to complete a plagiarism-free declaration and submit it along with the manuscript by uploading it as a supplementary file in the Open Journal System or by emailing it to jurnalbki@uinsa.ac.id.
