Membangun Kemandirian Masyarakat Desa Parakan Kecamatan Trenggalek Kabupaten Trenggalek

Terdapat tiga masalah utama di Desa Parakan yaitu kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya bencana tanah longsor, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, dan juga kemiskinan masyarakat tani hutan. Sehingga dapat memunculkan dampak kepada keselamatan, kesehatan warga setempat, serta perekonomian masyarakat. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu Participatory Action Research (PAR) yaitu melakukan penelitian bersama-sama dengan masyarakat dengan proses pemetaan partisipatif, inkulturasi, pencarian dan pengenalan masalah, pengorganisiran masyarakat, menyusun strategi pemberdayaan, pelaksanaan aksi perubahan, dan melakukan analisis dan refleksi. Aksi-aksi perubahan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi tiga masalah utama terebut yaitu Pendidikan Mitigasi Bencana, membentuk komunitas peduli lingkungan dan Sekolah Tani Hutan pendidikan pola pertanian di lahan miring dan pengolahan hasil panen di Desa Parakan. Hasil dari proses pemberdayaan ini yaitu masyarakat dapat memiliki kesadaran dan pemahaman dalam hal pengurangan risiko bencana tanah longsor di Desa Parakan, lingkungan yang terbebas dari sampah, dan juga peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat.
