JICD
Author Guideline
Manuscripts should be submitted to the editorial board of JICD: Journal of Islamic Community Development in the form of research articles. The manuscript must be original and has not been previously published in other journals. It should be written in Indonesian using Calisto MT, size 12, on A4 paper with the following margins: top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, right 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, and 1.5 line spacing.
The length of the manuscript should range from 5,000 to 7,000 words (including abstract, figures, tables, and references). The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English, containing 150–250 words in a single paragraph, and accompanied by 3–5 keywords.
Manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission system at:

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process by reviewers (mitra bestari). The final decision of acceptance is determined by the Editor. Accepted manuscripts will be edited by the editorial team without altering the substance.
Technical Guidelines
Title
- Concise, effective, and informative, maximum 12 words (including conjunctions).
- Written in Calisto MT, size 12, 1.5 spacing.
- Must be accompanied by author’s identity, including:
- Author’s name (without academic titles, in bold Calisto MT 12)
- Institutional affiliation
- Institutional address and email (Calisto MT 12, 1.5 spacing)
- Institutional affiliation should reflect the author’s current workplace.
- The order of authors (if more than one) must reflect their contribution and responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
Author Identity
- Includes: name (without academic titles, Calisto MT 12 bold), institutional affiliation, address, and email.
- Affiliation should correspond to the author’s professional institution.
- The sequence of authors follows their contribution and participation in the research and writing.
Abstract
- Written concisely and factually, covering the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Written in both Indonesian and English, between 150–250 words, in a single paragraph, using Calisto MT 10, single spacing.
Keywords
- Consist of 3–5 words or phrases.
- Written in italics, separated by semicolons (;)
Systematic Writing
INTRODUCTION
- Heading in Calisto MT 12 bold, 1.5 spacing.
- Content written in Calisto MT 12, justified, with 6 pt spacing below.
- Should include: research background, objectives, scientific novelty or contribution, significance, and research questions.
- Normally about 2 pages or a maximum of 20% of the manuscript length.
METHODS
- Should explain clearly how the research was conducted.
- Must include research type, research location, data collection techniques, and data analysis.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
- Heading in Calisto MT 12 bold, 1.5 spacing.
- Content in Calisto MT 12, justified, 6 pt spacing below.
- Should present findings clearly and concisely, supported by discussion and analysis.
- May include subheadings if necessary.
- Tables should be simple and open; figures should focus on research objects (preferably in JPG format). Both must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1).
- Citations follow APA Style (in-text citation format).
CONCLUSION
- Heading in Calisto MT 12 bold, 1.5 spacing.
- Content in Calisto MT 12, justified, with 6 pt spacing below.
- Should summarize research objectives, contributions to the field, practical implications, and potential for future research.
REFERENCES
- Heading in Calisto MT 12 bold, 1.5 spacing.
- References must only include cited sources in the manuscript.
- At least one reference should be from JICD.
- References should follow APA Style (latest edition).
Citation Style (APA Style)
- Single author: (Arief, 2019) or Arief (2019).
- Multiple authors: (Mursyid et al., 2020) or Mursyid et al. (2020).
