Rice husks are waste from rice processing and are a biomass that can be used as natural fuel. One of the major rice producers is Lamongan Regency, such as the Jagul Hamlet in Sendangrejo Village, where previously there was no utilization of the rice husks and they were simply discarded. Now, they are being utilized to create rice husk charcoal briquettes. The method employed in this initiative is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). This approach focuses on assets, by identifying the potential within a village and harnessing it. It employs several strategies: discovery (past), dream (building dreams), design (planning actions), and destiny (action for change). The results obtained from this research indicate a growing awareness within the community regarding the utilization of their assets as potential for development. This activity has also fostered community solidarity and enthusiasm for sustainable asset management.
