Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

These guidelines are designed to help authors prepare and submit their manuscripts to the Jurnal Risalah Dakwah. Authors are required to follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth and timely review process.

General Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts submitted must be original works that have not been previously published or are under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Manuscripts can be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  3. All submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using anti-plagiarism software. The acceptable similarity index is no more than 20%.

Manuscript Structure and Systematics

Manuscripts must be structured systematically in the following order:

  1. Title: Concise and informative, with a maximum of 15 words.
  2. Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation: Full names of the authors (without academic titles), followed by their institutional affiliation and email address.
  3. Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English, with a length of 200-250 words. It should briefly state the background, objective, method, main findings, and conclusion.
  4. Keywords: 3-5 relevant keywords, separated by commas.
  5. Introduction: Contains the background of the problem, a brief literature review,  theoretical framework, research gap, and the research objectives.
  6. Research Method: Explains the design and approach, data source, data collection, analysis techniques, Trustworthiness, validity, and reliability, and ethical considerations.
  7. Results and Discussion: Answers the research questions, presents the research findings and discusses them in relation to existing theories and previous studies, highlight pattern, and connect to practical implications.
  8. Conclusion: restate the main aim and key findings, mention the  main contribution, indicate practical implications, acknowledge the main limitation, and suggest directions for future research. 
  9. References: Lists all references cited within the manuscript using APA 7th edition (Autohor-date)

Technical Writing Requirements

  1. File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or RTF format.
  2. Font: Garamond, size 12 pt.
  3. Spacing: 1 line spacing.
  4. Paper Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm), with normal margins (2 cm on top and bottom, and 2.54 cm on left and right side).
  5. Manuscript Length: The total length should be between 5000 – 7000 words, including the abstract, tables, figures, and references.

Citations and References:

  1. Use a reference management tool such as Mendeley or Zotero
  2. The citation style used is Turabian 9th Edition (notes and bibliography).
  3. A minimum of 15 references is required, with at least 80% of them being from scholarly journals published within the last 10 years.

Online Submission System

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) at https://jurnalfdk.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/jrd/about/submissions 
  2. First-time authors must register as an "Author" on the system before submitting their manuscript.
  3. Follow each step of the online submission process carefully. Authors are required to complete all necessary metadata.
