About the Journal

Jurnal Risalah Dakwah (JRD) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that advances research and critical inquiry in the interdisciplinary field of da’wah studies. The journal publishes original and methodologically sound contributions that strengthen both theoretical understanding and evidence-based practice across diverse da’wah contexts. JRD serves as an academic platform for researchers and practitioners to engage in constructive debate and to develop new perspectives on the changing roles, forms, and challenges of da’wah in contemporary society.

JRD particularly welcomes manuscripts grounded in empirical investigation and fieldwork, alongside robust conceptual, historical, and analytical studies. The journal invites submissions that examine da’wah as a lived social practice shaped by culture, institutions, communication ecologies, and media transformation. Areas of interest include, but not limited to, Philosophy and History of Da’wah; Contemporary Da’wah; Digital Da’wah and Da’wah Media; Cultural and Inclusive Da’wah; Da’wah Management; Da’wah for Empowerment; and Da’wah for Islamic Moderation.

JRD is published biannually (June and December), publishes in English, and distributes published works under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license.
